I’m a member of the Native American Student Association at UMASS Amherst and recently we hosted a food and clothing drive that allowed us to send quite a few boxes to families out in Pine Ridge. As those of you who have been following NativeSkins for a while, may have noticed my lack of posting lately… I can assure you, come the new year, my Tumblr will be back and running as it use to. And I will then have more time to get to everyones questions and answer them. Just bear with me for now, my life has been rather busy the past couple of months, as I’m sure...

I'm 1/4 Yaqui but my family has been removed from the culture for a few generations now as my great grandfather was raised by missionaries and what little family history we have is contained only in the stories my grandmother has told me.
